Mortgage rates were pretty much flat last week, as the holiday preventing trading and everyone was wondering the effect of the trade war. Also there were no economic Tweets from Trump as he focused on his Supreme Court decision. This week we will focus on Inflation at the Consumer Level. Rates are worse this morning and we anticipating them worsening as the work progresses.

With Spain and Italy cooling off, and the threat of higher tariffs, inflation is back in the news. Traders are looking towards more economic reports this week to guage inflation again. We are seeing rates trend back up, but this could all change with 1 tweet.

Home Loan Mortgage rates were almost flat last week, as the stock market gave back a little and bond traders socked the money into bonds.  But don't think this is a reversal of mortgage rates, we are still anticipating rates to be in the 5% by end of March.

Mortgage rates, slightly up last week, only because the holiday caused people to park money in bonds. I anticipate that this week we will see our 8th straight week of rate increases.
