WOW, mortgage rates improved over the last few days, fueled by the major drop in Oil, and our old friend Italy is back in the news with a collapsing economy, which has the potential of taking down the EU. And then Trade Wars are back, with the US threatening 25% tariffs on electronics made in China. And lets not forget Israel & Iran trading shots. All of these items and pushing traders into bonds, which will drive down mortgage rates.

Mortgage rates trended lower last week, as deadlock in congress is making it less and less possible for Trumps Tax Reform to get complete.  We also saw oil dip to a 7 month low, which is going to put pressure on stocks, thus more people going into Bonds.

Mortgage rates ticked up last week, after a 3+ year low on July 5th, we have seen rates slowing raise higher on good US economic news and no chaos out of the EU. Conventional rates still in the Mid 3's, while Government rates still in the low 3's.
