Mortgage Rates in Boise & Nampa made a GREAT run lower last week, hitting 24 month lows on Wednesday, only to pull back on Friday. Today we are looking to make a run lower again home loan rates as the news media look towards the 3T again, with Trump Tweeting about Tariffs with a meeting with China coming up. If the meeting goes well, this could spell the end of good rates as any movement in tariffs easing with cause stock market to rally. On the flip side, if Trump storms out of meeting, and Tariffs stay in place we would see a sell off in Stocks and Interest rates would improve. Watch the news!

Mortgage rates slide again last week, although giving some of it back today. Pending the 3T's (Trump, Tweets & Tariffs), most of the economic news should be mortgage rate friendly this week. We are seeing conventional hovering in the high 3's and government (FHA/VA/USDA) in the mid to low 3's.

VERY nice improvement last week on mortgage rates, and we are seeing the trend continue this week. The positive side to the 3T's (Trump, Tweets & Tariffs) is rates are improving, alot. The down side is the 3T's are rolling us towards a recession.

Mortgage Rates posted a very nice improvement last week, all based on Trump, Tweets and Tariffs. Economically, the numbers were good, but traders are fearing China's next move, and thus traders are selling stocks and putting their money into safe havens like Mortgage Bonds. We are carefully floating this week and the 3T will be influencing rates more than anything else.

Last week was a spectacular week for mortgage rates. As the Federal Reserve indicated that they will NOT raise rates in 2019 and may only raise rates 1x in 2020. Further concern about a recession is keep rates lower. Economic news is pointing towards a slow down, and past Fed Chairman came out today and actually indicated that the Fed may have to lower rates again. RATE ARE GREAT!

Mortgage rates improved, again, last week, as concerns about China & Trade weighted on the markets. We also have Shut Down talks influencing markets. If we get a resolution, then stocks will rally and bonds will sell off, thus raising interest rates. But on the flip, a shutdown will more than likely improve rates. It will be all about the TWEETS!

Mortgage rates worsened a little last week, and stock rallied for 5 days. I am thinking rates may worsen this week as well, with a potential China resolution on trade coming and Companies start announcing last quarter earnings. We also have housing data, inflation data, and Retail Sales for December. If all of these are good, Stocks should rally which will drive mortgage rates higher.

Let's put it simple, rates sucked last week. We had wayyy to much inflation news last week, and it saw a major sell off of bonds, thus rate rose over .25 last week. This week, we are anticipating much of the same, economic news is going to be focused on inflation again, there is no reason to think rates are going to go back under 5.00%, we can say Good Buy to the 4's.

Mortgage rates last week were pretty much flat, as there was hardly any unexpected news and all data came in as expected. Fed did say they are going to continue to increase rates so I would say 100% of a September .25 and 90% of another .25 in December. Quite a bit of economic news this week, including a bunch of inflation numbers. AND more important news about NAFTA.

Mortgage rates slide down last week, as Congress didn't pass tax reform and the short week caused some stocks to sell off.  The next 4 weeks, until the end of the year is going to be VERY interesting, as the market anticipates the Tax Reform Bill and investors are getting more and more concern about a Stock Market Correction.  The talking heads all anticipate some sort of correction with people call for a 10% correction, which would be GREAT to Mortgage Rates.
