Mortgage Rates in Boise & Nampa made a GREAT run lower last week, hitting 24 month lows on Wednesday, only to pull back on Friday. Today we are looking to make a run lower again home loan rates as the news media look towards the 3T again, with Trump Tweeting about Tariffs with a meeting with China coming up. If the meeting goes well, this could spell the end of good rates as any movement in tariffs easing with cause stock market to rally. On the flip side, if Trump storms out of meeting, and Tariffs stay in place we would see a sell off in Stocks and Interest rates would improve. Watch the news!

Mortgage rates worsened last week, as traders are looking at what China will do in the latest trade war. China is hold $1.1 Trillion in US debt, albeit a fraction of our $22 Trillion in debt, they could start to sell or not buy, which would cause rates to jump, this IS the thing to watch. Also this week we have housing numbers, the Federal Reserve minutes and Durable good. And it is a short trading week along with a holiday weekend. Going to be a rough week for rates.

3rd week in a row that mortgage rates have increased. With economic news all pretty good, and some inflation news in the headlines, mortgage rates have been worsening. Still at 1 year lows, but off our lowest level on March 27th.

Mortgage Rate jumped last week, as the US and China are releasing positive responses to the Trade Dispute. Although we have quite a bit of economic news this week, with Unemployment on Friday being the biggest, I think China and Trade are going to be the major influence on Mortgage Rates this week.

Mortgage rates improved, again, last week, as concerns about China & Trade weighted on the markets. We also have Shut Down talks influencing markets. If we get a resolution, then stocks will rally and bonds will sell off, thus raising interest rates. But on the flip, a shutdown will more than likely improve rates. It will be all about the TWEETS!

Mortgage rates worsened towards the end of last week, but still showed an overall improvement. Today we are seeing rates worsen and inflation is back in the news. Rates are pretty good, this will will either set a nice floor or make a breakout to higher numbers.

Mortgage rates are still trending up, as last weeks wage inflation numbers was not pretty. This week we also have more wage inflation in the Consumer Price Index or CPI, which will really dictate rates. This will be the most looked at report this week. We also have the US selling debt in the form of Treasury auctions that will play a roll in rates as well. Anticipating rates worsening this week.

Home Loan Mortgage rates were almost flat last week, as the stock market gave back a little and bond traders socked the money into bonds.  But don't think this is a reversal of mortgage rates, we are still anticipating rates to be in the 5% by end of March.

WOW what a month for rates, since January 5th, rates have been on a rocket ride up. And it is all about the economy and inflation. Inflationary numbers is the #1 influence on mortgage rates right now.
