With elections a day away, rates are going to be influenced by economic data now, up until the Federal Reserve makes their announcement on December 14th.  Which we expect a minmum .50% increase in the Fed Funds rate.  Mortgage rates are trending up, and should continue to rise.

Mortgage rates sank a little last week, as the Federal Reserve surprised everyone by NOT raising rates. We has had Germany go negative on their rates. Both caused the US Bond to be purchased, thus lowering our mortgage rates.

Mortgages rates in Idaho will trend flat to a little higher, that is until Wednesday at 12:00 PM, when the Federal Reserve is expected to announce a rate hike, the watch out for volatility. Anticipation is for a .25 increase, but what all eyes are looking for is the statement that follows.
