Mortgage rates ticked up, just a smidge, after a pretty wild and volitile week.  The main influence last week, that actually caused rates to ease, was the threat of Trump adding tariffs onto Steel and Aluminum, which would not only hinder the US economy, but cause allies to impose tariffs on our stuff as well.

Home Loan Mortgage rates were almost flat last week, as the stock market gave back a little and bond traders socked the money into bonds.  But don't think this is a reversal of mortgage rates, we are still anticipating rates to be in the 5% by end of March.

Mortgage rates, slightly up last week, only because the holiday caused people to park money in bonds. I anticipate that this week we will see our 8th straight week of rate increases.
